Client: National Theatre
Role: Producer, Technical Advisor
About The Project
In this combination of wildly imaginative physical and virtual art, audiences journey around a deserted island and explore a visually stunning world, both observing and being observed. Premiering at the London Film Festival (LFF) , two visionary VR artists, Marina Mersiadou and Zoe Diakaki, present this interactive VR dance performance, which invites audiences to be part of a communal experience exploring themes of society and sacrifice.
About My Process
On behalf of the National Theatre’s Immersive Storytelling Studio (ISS), I produced the showing of this innovative, untested piece at LFF Expanded. I collaborated with the artists to develop an audience journey plan that integrated seamlessly with the wider installation. I coordinated with the developers to ensure the feasibility of on-the-ground technology operations and consistently reported back to ISS to maintain budget compliance.
